My name is Mark Lloyd Jones. I am an accomplished mobile software engineer with a track record of creating rich, innovative applications used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. I specialize in developing products for mobile, and I am passionate about sane, elegant engineering. With this I also take great pride in creating great user experiences and providing real value through beautiful design and intuitive interfaces.
Originally from the deep south in the United States, I grew up in the hot and humid climate of south central Mississippi. In 2010, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. After a few years working primarily in the US public sector consulting for Deloitte, I jumped at the opportunity to pursue career opportunities abroad and began building software for startups in Copenhagen, Denmark. In the years since, I’ve traveled all over Europe for work and play, and have found a sincere value in my international experience.
Alongside working as a senior engineer in firms like Shape and the global skincare giant, LEO Pharma, I’ve developed a growing enthusiasm for photography and videography. It is an appreciation and enthusiasm which has positively influenced the visual direction and quality of my day-to-day work. I enjoy capturing people in their happiest moments and immortalizing the stories around me. As part of this passion, I regularly share my travels and adventures on Instagram and YouTube.
After nearly seven years experiencing and living Danish hygge and even going so far as to marry a Dane, I’m returning to the United States in 2019 to continue crafting highly-visible, lovable mobile apps and experiences.
