The Hub Guide

About The Hub Guide

Founded by myself and two friends in 2008, The Hub Guide was a social platform dedicated to aggregating and promoting the local music and arts scene in Hattiesburg, Mississippi — home of the University of Southern Mississippi and also known as the “Hub City”. We built the platform to connect students not just with each other but with real local artists finding their audiences every night out on the town.

For two years, THG operated as a complete city directory for students who needed a place to dine, listen to good music or just pay the cheapest cover.

As a founder, my role carried many responsibilities, but the largest was the day-to-day creation of technology that served our users best. Founding and developing the platform was a great journey and charted the course for me to become a part of exciting startups later in my career.
